Thus far I'm pacing about 2 levels a zone, which is a pretty good rate. Kudos to you Blizzard for getting the blood rushing through my veins as I play this game.I finished off Howling Fjord a couple days ago, hitting 74 in the process. I want more now and am glad I'm getting it. I also loved the starting quest in Howling Fjord where you had to start fighting the mobs in Valguard. That was a real rush.īeing greeted by a pleasant NPC who says "Go out and kill 8 stags" is what I did at Level 30. What could be better? Wintergarde Keep is awesome and the main reason is because it really FEELS like you are part of the action from the get go. This is the Lich King's territory. What do you want? Flowers being thrown at you and a kiss on the cheek? I rode across from Borean Tundra to Howling Fjord with my Paladin to get all the flight paths and rode right into those nasty undead and it was great! I got to battle them to the gates just like it should be done.

What? That is the BEST! Northrend is supposed to be dangerous! Naxx flying overhead, undead are dropping from the skies. You go down the hill some more and there are 70 - 74 Undead's running around the whole place, with Naxxramas flying above you. You go down the hill, and there's all these 71 - 73 Undeads. The most annoying one is Wintergarde Keep, in Dragonblight.

So many of the cities & villages are under siege, and if you ride out, you get Stunned & raped by them. Besides, you don't have to ride across three quarters of the zone to find the god damn skinning and leatherworking trainers in HF either, they're right in Vengeance Landing, the starter town. Quests are laid out better in more logical hubs, and your main town is not under siege, you can in fact ride out the front door without getting dazed off of your mount by some stupid trash mob. Leveling as horde in HF is way easier than BT I'd say. If you need to go down to the beach anywhere you use the ramps or lifts put there for that purpose. But why would you do that? There's no quest that requires you to go dangerously close to any sheer drops in HF, at least on horde side. But BT is a lot easier to get around in (HF + Gravity = death)Įrr, if you ride off the side of a cliff you'll die, of course.
